Steve Crovetto
Founder
The late Steve Crovetto started Cro-Slit Turf Services in 1994 after retiring from education and coaching. He was an educator and football coach for more than 25 years having coached at the high school and collegiate levels. He began the company with golf course and sod farm applications and maintenance of residential and athletic accounts. Since then, the company has expanded into industrial ground maintaince, municipal chemical contracts, professional consulting services and site building. His experience in the private and public sector through athletics and business management have allowed the company to grow into what it is today. After a long battle with colon cancer Mr. Crovetto passed away in 2015. Today, the company is run by his son Seppe Crovetto and long-time foreman Jason Wagner.
Seppe Crovetto
President
Seppe Crovetto has grown up in the turf business having learned from his dad, who over sought the company from its beginnings. After graduating from Southeastern Louisiana University in May 2013, Seppe took over the family business and now serves as president. His business degree provides valuable experience in the operations of the company as well as his understanding of herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers and fungicides. He is a licensed Louisiana Irrigation Contractor and a member of the Louisiana Irrigation Association. He is a licensed pesticide applicator, aquatic pesticide applicator and is qualified in right-of-way and industrial pest and general standards.
Jason Wagner
Vice President
Jason Wagner has been with Cro-Slit Turf Services since the beginning years. He joined the company in 1998 and worked his way up the ranks from foreman to manager, and now vice president. Jason oversees the day-to-day operations. He graduated from the University of New Orleans in May 2006 and uses his wealth of experience in the field to consult with clients' every need. He is a licensed pesticide applicator, aquatic pesticide applicator and is qualified in right-of-way and industrial pest and general standards. Jason is a licensed Louisiana Irrigation Contractor and a member of the Louisiana Irrigation Association. He is also a licensed Louisiana Horticulturist.
Nathan Schexneyder
Foreman
Nathan Schexneyder leads the field operations of irrigation and chemical applications. His wealth of knowledge and attention to detail make him a valuable asset to the company and the client. He is experienced in all aspects of service offerings and is a licensed pesticide applicator in right-of-way.
Stacy Crovetto
Office Manager
A former school teacher for 30 years, Stacy retired and started working with the business in 2013. She assists with invoicing, paperwork, certifications and bid proposals. She graduated from Nicholls State University with a degree in health and physical education and was a member of the first-ever Lady Colonels softball team. Her educational and athletic backgrounds have been beneficial to the company in all facets.
